Environmental Technologies Export Strategy
For the first time, U.S. firms will be able to rely on support from
the federal government in opening markets for environmental
technologies overseas. The Administration's strategy is designed to
work with business, accelerate technology development, improve export
financing, and coordinate the 20-odd federal agencies who currently
have roles in this area. The strategy targets specific markets such
as Mexico, where the elimination of 20% tariffs on environmental
technologies through NAFTA and an urgent need for environmental
solutions are creating strong demand.
