President's Council on Sustainable Development
was established to explore and develop policies that encourage
economic growth, create jobs, and lead to the effective and
environmentally sound use of our natural resources. The 25 member
Council (including five cabinet secretaries) forges a new partnership
among industry, labor, government, environmental, and civil rights
organization.
