ONDCP's mission is to lead the Nation's counternarcotics efforts by developing policies and coordinating, promoting, and implementing initiatives to successfully reduce the supply, the use, and the social acceptance of Drugs in the United States. This mission is implemented through a series of of congressionally mandated activities set forth in the agency's authorizing legislation, as well as strategic initiatives aimed at reducing illicit drug use, manufacturing and trafficking; drug-related crime and violence.
